José Maksimczuk graduated from the Universidad Católica Argentina (2010). He obtained his PhD in Classics (2018) at the KU Leuven. His dissertation offered a text study and a critical edition of the Byzantine anthology known as Florilegium Coislinianum (8th-9th centuries). Currently, he is postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures (CSMC) of the University of Hamburg, where he is the PI of a project on the transmission of Aristotelian manuscripts in Byzantium and the spokesperson of a research group on note taking and notebooks.

“Conversation in the Library offers a great opportunity to discuss the production and circulation of Greek manuscripts in Constantinople in the second half of the fifteenth century. Its very proposal and target audience give authors the chance of communicating their thoughts on this topic to a wider readership.”
