Tûba Çavdar Karatepe worked as a Professor in the Department of Information and Records Management at Marmara University and retired in 2023. She graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Librarianship. She completed her master’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations and earned a PhD in Librarianship from the same university. Her research focuses on Rare Works, Book Publishing, Ottoman Library History, and Private Archives. She has held roles at the Istanbul Branch of the Turkish Librarians’ Association and the Women’s Library and Information Center Foundation. As part of the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture events, she led the Istanbul Women-Women Istanbul project. She has worked on various private archive projects, conducted projects at different levels, and held administrative positions at the university.
